FTM SIG Kickoff Meeting March 23, 2022

Fox Valley Genealogical Society launched their new Special Interest Group (SIG) for users of Family Tree Maker on 23 March 2022. All skill levels were invited to attend the kickoff meeting and learn what’s new in FTM. The meeting was well attended and there was strong interest in participating in the SIG.

After brief introductory comments, Gail Ryan, FVGS President, introduced Laurie Filipiak, the FTM SIG facilitator. Laurie spoke about the goals for the group and then introduced Mark Olsen, the Family Tree Maker Ambassador to historical and genealogical societies around the world. Mark provided the group with an overview of the Tree and Person tabs and talked about the benefits of linking to FamilySearch and Ancestry. We are pleased to offer this opportunity for our members to improve their FTM skills.
